ASUS MAXIMUS VII IMPACT RAPID START DRIVER
ASUS Maximus VIII Impact Z Motherboard (mini-ITX)
Overall a good motherboard, but it does have some key differences from the vii impact that seem like bizarre changes to me. This motherboard comes with asus' new fan header extender card. Allegedly they're making it a stand alone product later on.
The previous maximus vii impact came with a solution unique to this motherboard that allowed for more fan headers directly on the motherboard. The Maximus Impact range is perhaps the ultimate statement that mini-ITX isn't just here to stay, but considers itself to be on par with larger form factors in nearly all areas.
In fact, given the shorter distances between components, mini-ITX motherboards are very often faster than their larger counterparts too, if only marginally. The Sonic SenseAmp microprocessor is used for automatic headphone impedance detection and will adjust the built-in amplifier accordingly. This item is eligible for Newegg Premier benefits.

Another example of this is that the 8 pin EPS and the 24 pin plugs, both are in the same location, parallel with the 2 memory DDR3 slots, greatly improving airflow, cable cluster and overall a clean look. Again it is all in the details and this motherboard is a prime example of this philosophy.

Moving a little down, we have 4x SATA 3. This exclusive technology dynamically optimizes essential aspects of Maximus VIII Impact-based builds by monitoring real-time use, delivering superb CPU performance, everyday energy savings, ultra-stable digital power, cool and quiet fans and even networking and audio settings that are tailored for the apps currently in use.
I was curious to see whether a less demanding workload would be stable, so I fired up Cinebench and kicked off its multithreaded CPU rendering test. AI Suite's auto-tuner was next. We configured it to start from the CPU's default ratio and enabled the software's AVX testing and its memory stress test.
After the process finished, AI Suite settled on a 46X Turbo multiplier for core loads and 44X with cores engaged, on a slightly boosted base clock of I purchased the board and started a G4 Cube project thread: I found that it was a no go for a cube and proceeded with this build. On second thought, it was just too massive for an ITX case. Here is the case on Newegg: Why not just make Asus MAXIMUS VII IMPACT Rapid Start smaller?
For convenience and the widest backplate compatibility, Maximus VII Impact includes four installation. You can even use KeyBot to wake your PC to boot into a specific mode Detailed CPU and case fan information for instant cooling!
