Rather, I think the ATX is more of a "father"-board.
So, by the same logic, the mITX could be called a "baby"-board. Therefore I will ask: What makes this tiny motherboard a "gaming" motherboard?

From the outside, it looks like everything arrived without any damage to the internal items. There were a few bruises near the top corners of the box, but they did not look too problematic for the inner contents.
Thankfully, Gigabyte also packed the inside with loads and loads of foam packing peanuts, so this should have also cushioned any blows the parcel took during shipment. On paper, the two boards are more similar than different. Physically, they have nearly identical layouts, though the Gaming 5 has an 8-pin auxiliary CPU power port and dual heatsink cooling connected via heatpipe while the WIFI settles for a 4-pin plug and exposed VRMs, despite both boards using the same 5-phase power regulation system.
The lack of cooling is not surprising for a budget model but it's odd to see it paired with the Z chipset which is primarily used for overclocking which puts extra thermal strain on the components. I had never held such a small motherboard before.
My first reaction was, "Oh my goodness, this is cute! I told the Editor-in-Chief, and he mocked me for it. After seeing all these sizes, I truly have to wonder if the name motherboard is correct in denoting the sizes.
